We are most grateful for the
trouble you have taken to give us
so fully your views on the future of
Hong Kong University as set out in
your letter of the 22nd August.
For
couf oder wa upolmation present the proposal is that
an ad hoc Advisory Committee should b
established to consider the policy
which should govern the restoration
of the University and to make
recommendations as to the steps which
are required to revive the work
necessary for the immediate needs of
Hong Kong. If this idea is approved
we should like the Committee to be
in possession of the arguments as
set out in your letter. In any case
it has helped us here to clarify the
issues and we are most grateful to
you for your help.
Yours sincerely,
